magery help please

ok so i'm following the guides and i skill capped then stat capped. i gm'd my hiding and got my eval up to 99.9 which i will leave in place until i gm magery just in case i need to house macro. Now my question is should i be trying to skill up magery based on the real or show value? my real is 50.9 or so but my show is almost 60 and it's crazy. i can cast blade spirits and what not so i'm going to assume that i need to macro up magery based on show value but i just wanted to verify.
