Does the vendor fee get deducted automatically from the owner characters bank?

No. It will first be deducted from gold specifically paid to the vendor, then by gold earned by the vendor. If both of those are zero, the vendor will quit, dropping all your precious loots on the ground.

Drop 10k on em or w/e, then just make sure you actually sell crap. Main deal is making sure you always leave enough gold left on them so they don't quit for a couple weeks.
