I never used item id on maps before, does the price differ depending on value? Before there were indications of what level they were by the labeling but they changed that a long time back though.
Usually if you are on a search for maps you merely look at the treasure tables of creatures and should sort them out by that. I am not sure about maps found from fishing however.
Yes I know that didn't help any unless of course they display different gold values in item id.
