For ideas on how to make Second Age a better shard. Can it get any better? Maybe.

Swing animations?

Post by Kefka »

I've noticed that a lot of the mounted swing animations for fencing make it look like you are swinging the weapon downwards like a sword. Shouldn't it be a thrusting animation?

I always remember swinging animations like that for weapons such as war forks, kryss', long spears, etc... Back in the day I remember it being odd that weapons like that swung that way on mounts.

Yeah, you slash with the spear. It's accurate.

Also, you can switch what hand your shield and sword are in depending on what direction you are facing.

I always loved the floating short spear graphic.

I could have sworn there used to be a two handed weapon which, while riding a horse, made it appear as though you were swinging your fist rather than the weapon. Maybe it was the short spear or the war hammer. Either that or i'm completely forgetting my own UO experience.
