era accuracy [murder counts]

Post by Finesse »

it suprises me that this hasnt been braught up already.

pre uor there was a [bug] or atleast what i always considered to be a bug where you if you were in a dungeon while macroing down counts they decayed at twice the rate.

i beleive this to be a bug because of the monster respawn timers messing it somehow. any other pks out there may remeber this.

i remember murder counts being halved if macroing was done in dungeons, but if it was a bug, those aren't being recreated on this server.

This is correct,

Also tied to this issue is the fact that bodies decayed faster in dungeons. Dungeons, I believe, were hosted on a separate server and very intentionally time went by quicker.

At one time, mana regenerated quicker in dungeons, not sure if that's T2A accurate or not

probably related to the same time issue.

I wonder how hard that would be to replicate here. It *IS* accurate and is NOT a bug.

Mana regeneration in dungeons wasn't a bug, I believe it's in the UO guides from back then too.

It gave you more incentive to train as you farmed, rather than training in town/house, worked well back then when everyone wasn't in a macro frenzy

I believe the increased mana regen rate in dungeons may have been pre-meditation, but the rate of killing counts in dungeons was definitely faster (though, again, I don't know if it was a bug or not -- it was sure widely known though, for a bug.)
