Fame Decay
I was wondering if there was a fame decay over time system being implemented here.
I don't have the ability to scan pages from my Playguide so I'll just copy here:
"5.10-5.11
FAME
Like Karma, Fame is acquired on a sliding scale. When you are already famous, you're expected to do more heroic (or villainous) deeds than normal folk.
...
These are some actions that will lower your fame
...
Fame decays with time (fame is fickle)."
My Playguide is dated to 98 and is titled SA so I'm certain that fame decay/time is acc.
Oh and does anyone know how to get Dread Lord? Seems like an extremely difficult title to get.

At least change the angle so people can't see where my characters are. Fire/IPBan anyone who plays my characters too plz. KThxBai.
Re: Fame Decay
All the elements of fame mentioned are in except the decay. A modest daily fame decay will be added in the next publish.
Re: Fame Decay
I've seen a couple dread lords, but with the patch that implemented "The Murderer" title, most people who were dread lord were turned to "The Murderer Lord" which is also pretty sweet but yeah.

<hemperor> plus im sure ive handled more money than your mcdonalds ass ever has, my $1200 dollar speaks for itself!

Re: Fame Decay
Bring back Dreadlords?
That'd be pretty sweet.

Re: Fame Decay
So...
Step 1: Chop up Corpses, Steal, Heal Greys/Reds and Murder players until Karma is locked at Outcast level
Step 2: Get rid of "Murderer" title (which you're prolly going to have to get) by waiting patiently
Step 3: Kill high Fame mobs
Step 4: Laugh maniacally when you see "Dread Lord" in your title
That sound about right?

Re: Fame Decay
Pretty sure that you're wrong. If you raise your fame, chances are your karma's going up to boot since the only way to really do that here is by killing mobs. When hit Lord/Lady, you'll have to kill even more people just to get your karma down low.

Re: Fame Decay
If you kill a mob, your karma will raise, No matter what it is, all mobs will raise you from negative karma. Karma locks are not accurate to T2a are they? Thats why dread lords get pissed when you 'i honor thee'.
?
Re: Fame Decay
Dont you lose karma for killing wisps?

See. You cannot raise fame without raising karma, broadly speaking, therefore, your fame must be maxed before you start losing karma if you want to be Dread.
