Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
The delays on that page have been proven wrong countless times, I have brought that up before as well. There are more pages on stratics stating the incorrect delays than the correct ones, but they are both listed. Just goes to show that stratics isn't always 100% correct.Kraarug wrote:Here are the spells with their actual delays spelled out.

I would like to see that discussion or these sources that debunk the times stated in the link provided above.Hemperor wrote:The delays on that page have been proven wrong countless times, I have brought that up before as well. Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
Demo has also confirmed these, it is just well known. Calm down on the topics today cowboy, 8 already, first time on stratics? :pKraarug wrote:I would like to see that discussion or these sources that debunk the times stated in the link provided above.Hemperor wrote:The delays on that page have been proven wrong countless times, I have brought that up before as well. Thats not proof, where is this discussion?Demo has also confirmed these, it is just well known.
Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
Not only is the demo not proof but they call things a "Demo" for a reason, it's just a demonstration of what it will be like. NOT AN EXACT REPLICA OF WHAT IT WAS LIKE.

Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
I could see if there "absolutely nothing else to go by" using the demo, or using it for things that have clearly not been changed (entice ect.) but when it comes to specifics, "its in the demo" just doesnt work.Ryemus wrote:Not only is the demo not proof but they call things a "Demo" for a reason, it's just a demonstration of what it will be like. and "It's just well known". LOL NO
Theres very little I would take hemperors word on.
Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
The information that shows that the spell times are incorrect on the stratics website come from the demo, archived UO Guide pages, and from early AoS guides that talk about the current cast times, and the required faster cast/faster cast recovery to return to the old default values, all point to identical cast times that are in a stark contrast to the stratics values. There is also a small amount of empirical evidence rooted in animation "pumps" in the generalized fact that any non-summon spell required 1 or 2 "pumps" to be cast, even for 8th circle spells. At a cast time of 0.5 per circle, anything above 6th circle would require 3 "pumps" to be cast.

Re: Era Accurate Spell Delays
These were actually implemented during the summer last year and subsequently reverted. When they were in they felt way off from what it should be. UOSA Patch notes: http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1131
In regards to the comments on the demo, it is actually a mini-replica of a UO shard from shortly before T2A went live. So, if there are no patch notes stating changes to spell delays, its relatively safe to say that the spell delays in the demo are accurate.
