question about tamed dragons and nightmares

if i have 80 taming and 100 lore, can i still control a dragon or mare pretty well? if i keep it fed and shit. i know i wont be able to tame them myself but iv currently got 80ish taming and am thinkin about buyin some drags

then this might be an inaccuracy with taming. i had a tamer on OSI that was only in the 60's or 70's and he was able to control 1 or 2 dragons that were transfered to him from another tamer. he also had 100 animal lore. anyone else ever remember buying dragons on OSI to use on a less than master tamer?

I used them, but I had around 92 taming. Then they changed the way animal lore worked, screwed my tamer.
