They have been spawning for probably over 2 months now, just because people are selling them now everyone goes "omg dey spawning". It took that long for people to get them to sell, they are worth what they have been selling for.

If you are interested in grabbing a spawning one though, go kill 300 jewelers, chances are you may get one out of that...if not, kill another 300. Watch out for the guards btw.
