In order for trophy points to be a "gold sink", the gold would have to be removed from the player base ... in a sense deleted. All that is being done is 1 player is giving another player gold for their trophy ... it is the same as if a player kills 6 dragons and then uses the gold for regs, difference is player a isn't risking anything, player b is...

... a gold sink would be like putting an npc vendor up for clothing bless deeds that cost 500k a piece ... that would be a gold sink ... removing gold from the game

Fair enough I guess, but most people who do sell trophies use the gold immediately for one thing or another... Housing, building up a character, etc.

I'd say probably 75% of the time, the gold is spent pretty quickly.

If it's gold sinks / screwed economy people are worried about, there could be other things implemented.

A "CTF" stone or trash barrel. Make player sponsored events cost like 100k, 250k, or 500k..People can donate the entire amount, or build it up over time.. Don't hand out any trophies.
