That is a horrible deal. A brick is what 150k? L shape is 190k?

Think of it this way OP. UOSA is two years old now, little bit older. On OSI, if a shard had been around for at least two years, there would be 0 spots left for any type of house anywhere. Do you really need anything more than a few smalls? Large houses are for people who roll in groups like guilds or more than a 1 or 2 close friends. You can still easily get Resist (or any skill for that matter) up in a small and there's lots of space for chests. Stack'em three or four high, two or three across on three walls. That's just the way it is. If you have large housing expectations, expect to put in a large amount of effort. Don't be fooled by the fact that this is a free-shard with a small population in comparison to EA.

I can say with 110% certainty that there are still places to put down L-Shapes, Bricks, and even a couple of tower locations (yes, they do still exist). Beyond that, the potential for players to put down 15 houses doesn't necessarily mean that it's been done. Realistically, we have to think of how many people connect to the server on a daily basis and compare that amount to the number of houses. Given that, this is the IRC status as of 10:29 EST:
[22:29] <@SecondAge> Server: RunUO 2.0 Creatures: 110479 Items: 4686998 Guilds: 885 Clients Online: 562 IP's: 340 (807 today)
With just over 2000 houses on the server, we can divide each unique IP seen today into the total number of houses, and we can see that it is really not a problem; there is an approximate 2.5 houses per IP when measured against the number of IPs seen in a single day.

After i read your post i was like "holy crap i did get screwed...It seemed fair at the time!" But i went back through my messeges during the trade and it was a house swap: My L shape for His Large Brick and 125,000 gold. :)

I was curious if this got any real answers?

I am new to the server and after looking around for 3+ hours (friend has marked runes to every spot in brittania) I saw no open spaces for anything more than a small house.. if that.
There are tons of house spots available. I don't think there are any castle or keep locations, but there are tons of everything else. I think I'm a professional house placer so If you need help finding a spot, let me know what you're looking for and the type of house you want and I can help you out.

Sorry to bamp this. 1 house per character is not how it was in t2a and is not beneficial for the server and pop growth. Who's mad idea was this? Very disappointed. Will have to wait for a decay.

somone placed an lshape by the museum, nothing fell, was just open space. that was yesterday or day before.
On the weekned I helped a friend place 2 L shapes almost on the same screen.

All this 'theres no place for houses' is BS. You just dont know what to look for or are too lazy to try.

To the OP:

Just pay someone for the location of an empty spot. In the time you've been running around looking you could've made 2-3 times that amount farming.

this thread got me thinking and I heard of some one who needed to place a brick, so I helped them look and found a spot for them.

SO moral of the story...spots are out there.

I know I will have to be patient in finding a decay, a spot, or just sheer luck.

Thanks.
yea its a shame you have to jump through so many hoops because people are allowed this many houses.. and then on top of that they use the good old excuse that "back in the day you couldnt place houses so its the same here now" which is utter since there is literally a 1/5th of the playerbase here. sorry bout your luck pal.. dont matter how many people vote that its stupid as f%$# it isnt gonna change anytime soon.

also it was pretty weak that my thread was locked as well.

I placed a L shape within a screen of Britain guards in the FIRST week I was playing on here. 8)
