no, as far as i know the action delay doesn't affect spell casting. doesn't feel like it anyway. only double clicking or lifting items.

Well, I don't know for sure that something is wrong. I just find it entirely hard to believe that throughout the entirety of T2A, nobody realized that you could spam mini-heal through anything...

If the Swing-timer pvp changes go through. It will literally be nearly impossible to kill someone. Granted, dexer vs mage combat doesnt change much (It's basically pure mage v dexer), and dex vs dex does not really change either (well swing while run will be nice for escapees). Tank mage v. Tank mage will be absolutely horrible to watch.

Not that this bothers me, I am all for the accurate swinging. I am just suggesting that maybe something is off with the lower level spells. They were hardly ever used (as was mentioned above), and here, they are almost relied on.

yea he means minis though.

though im not totally certain, most everyone in 99 was running around with 50 resist, you couldn't mini through everything with 50 resist. i know in UO:R once i got GM resist i could mini through someone spam ebolting me without using pots. the ebolt spam would only just win out in terms of damage

Obviously I meant mini heal, otherwise I would have said "greater heal".

On UOSA, my 0 resist thief can sit there and mini-heal away while I rob you blind and never die 1v1.

Against anyone? With good hally swings? I find that hard to believe...u talking about semi fighting back where you wrestle disrupt their hally timing or something. A hit then ebolt then hally hit etc. is way faster than mini heal in terms of moving damage.

Not trying to hijack or provoke but I find that a little far fetched.

the people you are stealing from obviously know nothing of pvp if you can mini-heal out of any spell drop with 0 resist

mini-heal is not as powerful as you make it sound, but then again people who cannot strategically place their spells will never kill you anyways, because its extremely easy to get a gheal cursor here..

mini-heal is only useful when you know that you won't be able to cursor a gheal..

mini-heal x3 = 12 mana / 30-36(?) healed
gheal x1 = 11 mana / 40-50 healed

anyone who has knowledge of how to properly swing their weapon has a fairly sufficient chance of killing an opponent spamming mini-heal..

With the huge era accurate improvements everyone is excited about, let's not leave anything out. Let's go the whole 9 yards.

Fix mini heal: I have been saying this since the beginning, mini heal use to only heal 5-14 or 15. It use to not be a big deal because I could hally hit through that. Now, with the additional timing, it's more difficult to defeat your opponent. This is a must change if you want the pvp to be accurate.

Housing: 1 house per an account, as opposed to 1 house per a character. Prior to T2A, you were allowed to have more than one house which were used to build courtyards. If you are going to make the pvp more accurate on the shard, might as well make everything accurate as well.

Magic Weapons: The chance of obtaining a vanquishing item was very difficult on OSI. Simple rememdy, make it harder, lower the chance of monsters, treasure maps, and SOS's of handing out high attribute magic items.

We've done some very extensive research regarding mini-heal, and it's been proven that mini heal is accurate as it stands. Several sources exist that describe the current effectiveness of mini-heal during different eras of UO, and none of them cite a bottom number of less than 10 for mini-heal at GM skill.

During T2A, houses were limited to 1 per character. The information detailing this can be found in the patch notes for late 1998.

I can't quote our exact numbers for drop rates, but it is known that the drop rates for a vanquishing weapon of any kind should be 1% (or less if the creature shouldn't be able to drop it at all).

There are several screen shots from era that show people using mini heal in pvp, including showing that they healed for 12 points of damage. If anything is wrong with mini heal it is that first circle recast delays are wrong. If you guys can prove that the recast delays are wrong go ahead and do the research, otherwise stop crying.
