I've been at 90.1 resist for 3 days of macroing with 2 casters.
I have made 3 GM resist characters in the last month and this has never happened.
It is awfully strange.
This didn't happen last time I macroed resist...

90 is plenty i have some chars im to lazy to finish resist and i cant tell the diff.
My advice put the extra 10 skill in carpenty and build urself something better to cry about.

I have a somewhat tested theory (somewhat meaning I do not have any real mathematical proof for you readers). Ever since the patch that put a halt on resist parties; I have been working a new mage. I never made use of a resist party on this shard, but I am familiar with them from Redemption. Before the patch I would grandmaster resist without evaluating intelligence just to conserve on bandages. Depending on the build I was going for, I would just macro eval later. This new mage DID work eval first because I knew it had to be done. Long story short I macro'd my eval to 95.5 and gained resist just fine until 97.2 magic resist. 97.2 and I was stuck for an entire day on that number. Shit... guess I will just finish macroing eval to GM. Yup... there we go .1 in resist and rising. By my experience you must have a caster with GM eval to GM resist. I hope this answers your questions.

There does not appear to be a problem with resist gains, only an effect of the changes to damage based gains.
